Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith

We, at Faith Family Church, hold to the foundational truths of the Christian faith as revealed in the Bible. Our beliefs are centered on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we are committed to living out His teachings in our everyday lives. Our statement of belief is as follows:

THE BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and life, and it reveals God’s will for humanity.
2 Timothy 3:16

THE TRINITY

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God and equally worthy of worship and praise.
Matthew 28:19

GOD THE FATHER

We believe in God the Father, the Creator of all things, who is sovereign, loving, and just. He is the source of all life and is intimately involved in the lives of His children.
John 4:24, Isaiah 54:10

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His ascension to the right hand of the Father. Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal life.
John 3:16, John 14:6

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, empowers believers for service, and equips them for godly living. The Holy Spirit works within the hearts of believers to transform them into the likeness of Christ.
John 14:26

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is a free gift of grace from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works, but by trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross, where He paid the penalty for our sins.
Ephesians 2:8-9

THE CHURCH

We believe in the universal Church, the body of believers in Christ, and the local church as an expression of God’s kingdom on earth. The Church exists to worship God, grow in faith, and share the Gospel with the world.
1 Corinthians 12:27

BAPTISM & COMMUNION

We believe in two sacraments: baptism and communion. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change, symbolizing the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is a symbolic act of remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice and an expression of our unity in Him.
Matthew 28:19, Luke 22:19

THE KINGDOM OF GOD

We believe in the Kingdom of God as both a present reality and a future hope. As believers, we are called to live out the values of the Kingdom, seeking justice, mercy, and peace, while anticipating Christ’s return to establish His eternal reign.
Matthew 6:33, Revelation 21:3

THE RETURN OF CHRIST

We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead, establish His Kingdom fully, and bring eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Mark 13:26, 1 Thessalonians 4:16

MANKIND

We believe that all human beings are created in the image of God, and that every person is valued and loved by Him. We also believe that humanity fell into sin through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and that all people are in need of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23

DISCIPLESHIP

We believe that every believer is called to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and to grow in spiritual maturity. Discipleship involves studying God’s Word, living in obedience to His commands, and being transformed into the likeness of Christ. The Church is responsible for equipping believers to live out their faith and make an impact for the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 28:19-20, Colossians 1:28

EVANGELISM

We believe that the Church is commissioned to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people. Evangelism is the responsibility of every believer, and we are called to proclaim the message of salvation, make disciples, and demonstrate the love of Christ to the world.
Romans 10:14-15, Acts 1:8

ETERNITY

We believe that every person will spend eternity in one of two places: in the presence of God in heaven or separated from Him in eternal judgment. Heaven is the eternal home of those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, while hell is the destination of those who reject Him. God desires that all would come to repentance and receive eternal life through Jesus Christ.
John 5:24, Revelation 20:15

FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY

We believe in the five-fold ministry gifts given by Christ to equip and build up the Church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. These gifts are essential for the maturity and unity of the body of Christ and are given for the work of ministry and the edification of believers.
Ephesians 4:11-13

We believe that God sovereignly chooses individuals for these ministry positions, whether male or female, according to His divine will and calling. Scripture affirms that God has used both men and women to fulfill His purposes in leadership, teaching, and proclaiming His Word.
Judges 4:4 – Deborah, a prophetess and judge over Israel.
Acts 18:26 – Priscilla, alongside her husband Aquila, taught Apollos.
Romans 16:1-2 – Phoebe, a deacon and servant of the church.
Romans 16:7 – Junia, recognized as an apostle among the early believers.
Joel 2:28-29 – God’s Spirit is poured out on both sons and daughters, calling them to prophesy.
